Put together, Full Fledged Fighter (F3),
means a completely developed and mature
fighter, which is what you should strive
for every day you train. Hopefully you
will never become F3, in fact when you
do you should probably stop training
because really there isn’t any fun in
fighting anymore.
However, the definition behind the
website is much more. It is a life
style, a journey, a conquest, something
that you constantly strive for in any
sport you do. Being F3 is even more
important in combative sports because if
a QB misses the receiver big deal, no
injuries, but if your in the ring with
someone and you cant defend an arm bar,
you might lose more then the match.
Every time you step onto the mat or in
the ring you should strive to become
perfect in your chosen sport; whether
that be boxing, wrestling, Brazilian
jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, etc. etc. Every
time you practice; submissions, knees,
jabs, counters, defenses, you should
attempt to have full mastery of that
particular move/technique. When was the
last time you heard someone say, “Here
is how we throw a half ass jab”, never,
because the trainer knows that to have a
perfect fight you must train for
perfection. When I was growing up my
coach would constantly drill into me one
simple concept, “To excel at anything in
life you must practice that skill
perfectly 1200 times in order to do it
perfect once when it counts”. Who can
really say how many times you need to
practice something, but you do need to
practice to perfection every time you do
it. Every day you should strive to be
come a Full Fledged Fighter, a
completely developed and MATURE fighter,
if your not, then why are you training?
The F3 motto?
“Define your self by how hard you fight,
not by how loud you talk”. Such a short
sweet sentence but in this world of loud
talking, boastful, pre-Madonna’s, that
sentence speaks volumes. To us it says,
don’t tell your opponent how your going
to beat him in some loud obnoxious rant,
just shut up and let your abilities and
how hard you take it to the man across
from you define who you are as a
fighter. So in other words, shut up and
do your job, if your job is to tap
someone out, shut up and roll, if your
job is to knock someone out, shut up and
tee off. But of course it goes a step
further then its literal meaning (what
kind of motto doesn’t?), to F3, the
meaning of the sentence is actually held
within the first 8 words, “Define your
self by how hard you fight…”. In life,
just as in a fight, you need to work,
bleed, sweat, scrape and fight for what
you want, so, define who you are in life
by how hard you train and fight, how
hungry for success you are and by how
high you set your standards and goals in
life. And then fight for them, fight for
what you want, because if you don’t
fight for what you want, who will?
